It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas - Holiday Outfits & Accessories

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Hello December! My favourite month of the year is finally here. I’m a big Christmas fan, and I love when it’s December. I’m a sucker for the cosiness December gives. I love all the Christmas decorations, twinkle lights, sparkles and scented candles. I’m that girl who listens to Christmas music 24/7 when December hits. I just love ice skating, wandering trough decorated cities, go Christmas shopping and don’t forget hot chocolate with whipped cream, warm apple pie and delicious teas. I love wearing fluffy socks and cosy cardigans for movie nights on the couch and just being home with my loved ones, eating delicious foods and spend quality with each other.

In this post, I have put together a shoppable list of different types of holiday outfits and accessories I love. I also created an outfit inspiration video on my  IGTV. I made these outfits with pieces I already have in my wardrobe. If you are not planning to buy something new and want to create something with items in your closet, this video might help you. I hope you enjoy this post. If you get something from the outfits I choose or recreated one of the looks from my IGTV Video, let me know in the comments down below. I would love to hear all about it and see you in your holiday outfit.

The Perfect Holiday Outfit

The perfect Holiday outfit is different for everyone and searching for one can be a bit overwhelming. You can wear so many different things, and all the shops are launching amazing holiday collections. To make outfit shopping a bit less overwhelming, I created a list of different types of holiday outfits and pieces I would love to wear for Christmas and New years.

1. Go Glittery

You can never go wrong with a lot of glitter and sparkles. I love glittery dresses and tops for Christmas.

2. Suit up

Show them who is boss! Also, I think a suit can be sexy and sophisticated at the same time. Perfect for a work event or if you go somewhere outside. The suit will keep you a bit warmer than a dress.

3. Blazer Dresses

A blazer dress is one of my favourite dresses, always not just for Christmas. I think it is the perfect combination of feminity and masculinity. I also love to play around with accessories when it comes to blazer dresses, like belts, pins and layered necklaces.

4. Christmassy Red

Such a classic to go Christmassy Red. Red is a flattering colour for so many people, and you will stand out of the crowd with a pop of red for sure.

5. Satin Dresses

Another classic, sophisticated, feminine and a bit sexy holiday outfit. Perfect for ‘date night’ during the holidays, dinner with friends or a Christmas Party.

6. Snow White

What I love about a snow-white look is the contrast you will bring in the room. A lot of people go for black during the holidays (which I love because black is my happy colour), but if you go for an all-white look, you will stand out for sure. I love white looks because they look so pure, sensual and feminine.

7. Long & Dreamy

Long dresses are perfect for work events or more luxuries Christmas parties. They are so flattering, and you can also play around with the length by adding accessories.

8. Little Black Dress

You can never go wrong with a little black dress. They are perfect for almost every occasion. What I love about a little black dress is that you can either wear a more basic black dress and add some Christmassy accessories or go for a statement black dress and be a bit more subtle with your accessories and makeup. This way you can decide if you want to wear the same dress more than just once.

9. Jumpsuits to die for

Jumpsuits are another way of combining feminity and masculinity. I love the fact that most jumpsuits make you feel a bit more feminine than a suit would do. Jumpsuits are also perfect for work dinners and outdoor events.

10. Making a STATEMENT

If you want to go all out, you should go for big sleeves, a lot of sparkles, ruffles and so on. I love statement pieces and linked my favourite all-out there dresses down below.

Holiday Accessories

You got the perfect outfit, but no accessories to match. I searched for the most amazing and affordable holiday accessories and linked my favourites ones down below. These are going to complete your Holiday look.

1.Bags

I can’t go anywhere without my bag. I always carry one with me. For the Holiday’s I love small bags that fit the essentials you need for Christmas.

2. Jewellery

If you want to buy an outfit or already have one that you want to wear but not only during the Holidays, jewellery can upgrade your more casual outfit to a Christmas ready one. Especially earrings and necklaces can make a big difference.

3. Hair Accessories

Put some sparkles in your hair, and you look fabulous in a second. Especially with hair accessories, you can play around and get creative.

4. Shoes

I come home with at least one pair of shoes after a shopping trip. So you now know that I loveeeeee shoes. They are so crucial for your outfit and can make or break your look. I linked some gorgeous shoes which are going to make your holiday outfit down below.

5. Belts

Belts are another perfect piece to upgrade your basic outfit with. Like necklaces, earrings and hair accessories, belts add a lot to your outfit and transform an everyday outfit into a Christmassy one.
