It’s finally coat season and why not write about my all-time favourite coats? I’m a big fan of big oversized coats. In this post, I’ll show you some of my favourites and a few trends that came around this year.
1. The all-time favourite – The Camel Coat
Camel coats are the all-time favourite for men and woman. They’re easy to style. You can wear them with everything. They’re casual and chic and a real staple piece within your wardrobe. Camel coats are one of my favourites. If you don’t have one yet, you have to buy one! No wardrobe is complete without at least one. I linked my camel coat wishlist down below.
2. Teddy Coats
Another favourite of mine is the teddy coat. They come in all different shapes, sizes and colours. What I love most about them is that they are so soft and comfy. Perfect for keeping you warm during the cold winter days. I have one oversized white teddy coat from Mango and I wear it all the time. I linked some different styles that I like down below.
3. Faux Fur
Faux Fur coats have a chic and elegant feel to them. They are perfect for dressing up and are insanely warm. I’m a big fan of faux fur coats. I have a short one, more like a jacket in black and my long brown one from H&M. I have seen so many gorgeous ones this season and have still a lot of them on my wishlist. Check them down below.
4. Biker Jackets
Biker jackets are also a staple piece within your wardrobe. They add some edge to your style and are the perfect balance between chic and edgy. They’re perfect when you’re wearing jeans. You can buy them in different colours. I prefer the black ones. I linked some beautiful ones down below.
5. Checked Coats
If you haven’t noticed, check print is a thing this season a big thing! You can buy everything with this print and checked coats are a popular trend this fall/winter. Checked coats are bold and chic at the same time. You can find them in different shapes and colour palettes, which I love. They’ve bold colours, natural colours or even some sparkles. 6. (Faux) Leather
I love (faux) leather pieces. I think they are the perfect combination of sexy, edgy and chic. A faux leather coat is something on my wishlist for Christmas. Faux leather coats are also available in almost every colour. I prefer a black one as this is easier to style and I think black leather is gorgeous.
7. Vinyl
Vinyl is very popular this year especially vinyl bags. After this, more and more vinyl coats appeared. I think they are super cool and add a lot more texture to an outfit. I think this is a trend for people that love to stand out and have a particular style. If you’re not sure about, then try a natural coloured or clear one. Otherwise, you can go all out and buy neon coloured ones. I’m obsessed with a clear one as this is perfect for layering. Check my top 5 down below.
8. Belted
The belted coat is another one on my wishlist. I’m searching for the perfect wool-mix belted coat in army green! What I love about these, is that they give you the opportunity to show your figure even when you’re wearing a coat. They’re also casual and chic, easy to style and an upgrade to any outfit.
9. Animal print
We’ll know animal print is a popular this year, especially faux fur leopard print is a must-have this season. I love these coats but don’t think they fit my style. That’s why I’m not going to wear them myself. I think they’re perfect for people who have a bold style.
10. Puffer
The puffer, what can we say about the puffer? It’s freaking warm! Besides that, they look cool. I have one short puffer jacket in peach from H&M. If I wear that one, I’m never cold. It’s the perfect coat to wear when you go for a walk in the snow. I linked some of my favourite puffer jackets and coats down below.
