December is finally here and Christmas is around the corner. How to dress for Christmas and New Years? I wanted to try something new for this post. I divided this post into two parts. In the first part, I’m going to tell and show you some gorgeous pieces I want to wear during the holidays. I ordered some stuff, but they are not yet in the mail. I’ll show you some of my ideas and favourites for this season and link them below. I also put together a video with outfits made of pieces I already own. I want to give you some inspiration if you don’t want to spend too much money. Besides, you’ll find out how many pieces you already have and how you can make a stunner outfit with them.
This Years Holiday Trends
This year sparkles are a thing and perfect for the holidays. Sequins, lace, sparkles/glitter and gold/silver are perfect for the occasion. I love everything sparkly and with a lot of sequins, but only for the holidays. I had a lot of different outfit ideas in mind.
1. Faux Leather and Classic white
I saw the most gorgeous strappy kinda dress at Bershka. It’s made of faux leather and has a belt around the waist. It has a length above the knee. When I saw this, a lot of different outfit ideas popped into my head.
For the holidays I thought this would look amazing with an all-white classic blouse underneath. Put on some red lipstick, gold coloured makeup, add some sparkly jewellery and over knee boots or black heels and your outfit is holiday material. It will also look fabulous with a sparkly blouse. Besides, you can wear this more casually with a big sweater and some chunky sneakers, after the holidays.
2. Sequin dresses
Sequins are perfect for the holidays and sequin dresses are my absolute favourite. They’re so beautiful and sparkly. Besides, you don’t have to add a lot more to the outfit. Put on some gorgeous heels and natural makeup and your good to go. I picked out my favourite ones and linked them down below.
3. Christmassy Red
Red dresses are also one of my favourites for the holidays, especially for Christmas. Red is still the Christmas colour and in my opinion perfect for the occasion. Besides, red is gorgeous with some sparkly shoes but also with some black or nude pumps. I linked my favourite red dresses down below.
4. Unique blazer dresses
I love blazer dresses. They are sexy, elegant and powerful. I feel like a girl boss in them. I love to wear them as normal day wear. So another favourite holiday dress for me is a sparkly blazer dress. These are also perfect for another glamorous party. Check out my favourites down below.
5. Pencil skirts and sheer tops
Pencil skirts and sheer tops are probably pieces you already own. That makes it much easier and cheaper to pick out a stunner outfit for the holidays. I love them both and wear them often. They’re perfect for dressing up. You can wear these pieces more often and to different events. I linked some gorgeous ones down below.
Making a stunner outfit with pieces you already own!
If you don’t want to spend too much money on clothes you’re probably going to wear ones or twice, then buy a dress or outfit you can wear more often or make a stunner outfit with pieces you already own.
